The Swiss real estate development company SunVesta started the infrastructure work for its beach resort hotel “Paradisus Papagayo Bay Resort & Luxury Villas” in Costa Rica in last half of July 2017. The expected costs for the infrastructure work amount to around USD 9 million. The 5-star plus category beach resort hotel will feature 382 rooms and villas.
The infrastructure comprises all underground lines and piping systems to supply the resort. This includes the various piping systems for fresh water and waste water, telecommunication systems for telephone and Internet, and high and low-voltage electrical systems. The roads will also be completed. Parallel to the infrastructure activities, the company has also commenced erosion protection work. Any steep slopes that are exposed are being covered with mesh in order to stabilise the slope faces and simultaneously promote the growth of vegetation. The start of the infrastructure work began following the successful completion of all civil engineering works, which comprised the earthworks for the roads and buildings, retaining walls, anchoring and stabilisation measures. All work is being supervised by the architects and engineers, the site project management and the SunVesta project management.
